Folks say banks are all the same. Good thing we aren't one.
CU Community Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution with all the perks and services of a bank, but we'll help you keep more money in your pocket thanks to better rates and lower fees. Making a profit isn't our thing; making sure you profit is.
You'll notice that our name says "community," and not "shareholders." When you bank at a CU Community, you own a piece of it and that means you have a say in how it runs. A credit union is democratically governed. Each member has one vote, and members elect the volunteer board of directors.
Membership is open to anyone who lives or works in Greene and Christian counties in Southwest Missouri, or any customer or employee of City Utilities of Springfield. CU Community has more than 6,000 members and manages over $64 million in assets.
Some of the benefits of membership include:
- A national network of ATMS. The CO-OP Network logo, which is located on the back of your credit union ATM card, gives you SURCHARGE-FREE access to 28,000 CO-OP Network ATMs. This includes: 9,000 deposit-taking ATMs and 5,500 7-Eleven locations (throughout the U.S. & Canada).
- Free Checking with Debit Card and Saveit.
- Many Electronic Services such as PowerPay bill pay, Online banking and Mobile banking.
- Low-rate Consumer Loans and Real Estate Loans, and much more.
